“I’m not patient enough to homeschool.”
“I’m not organized enough to homeschool.”
“I can’t homeschool my kids. I think I’d kill them!”
While I have had many people say these exact words to me, I’ve actually thought them myself. On my own, I am not patient, organized, or loving. However, with the help of Jesus, I’ve become a work in progress.
This site isn’t a “How to Be An Amazing Homeschool Mommy” kind of site. You won’t find pictures of amazing science experiments (I hate them) or gorgeous craft projects (crafting with my kids makes me twitch). My kids won’t be wearing designer clothes or even have their hair combed in many of my pictures. My kids will have PB and J on their faces and their shirts on backwards.
This is a blog for “real world” homeschooling.
Homeschooling for people who are messy, disorganized, frazzled, and tired. Homeschooling for people who need plenty of coffee and chocolate to get through a math lesson. Homeschooling for people who pray every morning, “Dear God, Please don’t let me screw up my kids too badly today.” And each day, he answers that prayer.
